Role

Due to rapid growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified People & Culture Coordinator to join our team in Auburn NSW. This position will play an integral role in providing assistance and guidance, using technical and professional skills/knowledge, on a broad range of Human Resources policies, programs and practices, with a major focus on Recruitment & Onboarding.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the People and Culture department, including maintaining HR records, filing documents, and managing correspondence.
  • Coordinate meetings, interviews, and training sessions, ensuring logistics are arranged efficiently.
  • Managing and coordinating end-to-end recruitment process across multiple roles and levels from advertising through to offer and induction.
  • Assist with recruitment and selection related administration including placing ads, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including the preparation of paperwork, orientation schedules, and employee handbooks.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of job descriptions and recruitment materials.
  • Respond to enquiries from staff regarding leave, personal information, timekeeping and payroll matters in a prompt and confidential manner.
  • Coordinate on-boarding and off-boarding processes for employees.
  • Monitor and track completion of activities such as buddy shifts, probation and send reminders to managers for outstanding activities.
  • Track employee registrations, police check, visa expiries, conduct VEVO checks, maternity leave and send follow up reminders to employees.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in Inerva.
  • Generate HR reports and analytics as required by management, providing insights on key HR metrics and trends.
  • Undertake administration related to cyclical people activities such as performance reviews.
  • Manage shared inbox in an effective manner. 
  • Ensure all new starters have completed a national criminal record check or statutory declaration prior to first shift.
  • Preparing reports and undertaking ad-hoc tasks as per Line Manager’s advice
  • Support HR audits and compliance reviews as needed.
  • Assist with the regular payroll cycles. 

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in HR administration, recruitment or coordination role is advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of Awards and Workplace legislation
  • Knowledge of HR policies and practices
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems such as Taleo, Inerva, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with HRIS software.
  • Understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices in Australia.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

The appointment will be subject to below clearances:

  • COVID vaccination (x 3 shots)
