About the Team
  
We are a high performing, collaborative People & Development team and have an opportunity for a People & Development Advisor/Senior Advisor to join our Brisbane team. 

Our national P&D team boasts a number of experienced managers across People and Talent Acquisition who are, not only experts in their area of expertise, but who are supportive and willing to mentor and guide others in the team.
  
The role

Working alongside our People & Development Manager, who will invest in your growth and development, in supporting our stakeholders and employees in both our Brisbane and Cairns offices. In addition to this you will work with the national P&D team on firm wide projects as they arise.
Day to day you can expect the position to include:

  • Fostering effective and trustworthy relationships with key stakeholders so as to partner with them in building capabilities within their teams and practice
  • Responding to the P&D needs of stakeholders and their practice groups, proactively taking action and providing advice to address needs and manage risks
  • Providing support and guidance in employee relations matters
  • Assisting stakeholders with employee performance reviews, including coaching participants and providing guidance
  • Managing on-boarding, internal movements and exit processes
  • Maintaining online employee files and data in our HRIS (IntelliHR)
  • Assisting the Talent Acquisition team with recruitment as required
  • Creating employment agreements, correspondence and P&D documents
  • Coordinating secondments, work experience and temporary workers
  • Managing practising certificate renewals
  • Participating in national P&D projects as required 
Your skills and experience

To succeed in this role you will, ideally, possess:
  • Relevant tertiary education
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a P&D Advisory or TA role
  • Professional approach to business and excellent client service focus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong relationship management experience
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to change
  • Well-developed time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • A solutions oriented approach with a willingness to pitch in and support the wider team when needed
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Appreciate the importance of maintaining confidentiality
  • Resilience and a sense of humour!
