AddressOur Melbourne HR team are small but mighty! We are seeking a "learning enthusiast" to support the team members at two of our CBD Hotels, DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne Flinders Street and Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street. This is a new fixed term role for a period of 12 months with the possibility of becoming permanent.

About the Role
The People Development Officer will be the central coordinator for all learning and development activities. They will offer their expertise to ensure our hotel programs run effectively and meet our targeted business needs. This role will also support aspects of the onboarding process and retention strategies.
Specifically, this role will include:
- Deliver the 2024 learning and development strategy and training calendar
- Maintain good quality learning records and identify opportunities for improvement
- Assist with the smooth operation of the HR Department including; updating training records, printing training materials, updating electronic files
- Ensuring performance reviews are completed for all team members and work with the HR Director to create succession plans
- Maintain the Human Resources departmental training budget
- Act as a point of contact for HR enquiries and support with engagement activities
What are we looking for?
- At least 1 years of experience in a Learning & Development/HR Training role or 2 years of experience working in hotel operations
- Exceptional articulation and expression to deliver engaging training programs
- Have a cheerful, friendly and hospitable disposition
- Flexible to respond to a range of different work situations
- Masterful Coordination and organisation expertise
