Job description

Company description:

Thirsty work happens every day at Frucor Suntory - we are the distributor of some of New Zealand and Australia's most popular beverage brands after all.

We are committed to leading positive change in the trans-Tasman beverage market, driving innovation while protecting resources and nurturing communities. With over 1,000 employees across New Zealand and Australia and part of a larger network of around 40,000 employees within leading global beverage and food company Suntory, we are guided by the shared philosophy ‘in harmony with people and nature' to ensure corporate responsibility and sustainability.

Job description:

As a leading beverage manufacturer in the Oceania market, Frucor Suntory has a rich 60-year history, growing from a local juice company to a trans-Tasman beverage leader, known for its iconic range of drinks including V Energy and Suntory BOSS Coffee.

With our partners at Beam Suntory, we're embarking on a new chapter of growth to become Suntory Oceania, a new multi-beverage powerhouse across Australia and New Zealand -underpinned by our diverse talent, market-leading brands, quality craftsmanship and a strong sense of purpose.

With an inspiring growth trajectory ahead, there has never been a better time to join the Suntory family. From 2025 in Australia and 2026 in New Zealand, we will own local manufacturing, sales, and distribution for our full portfolio of alcohol and non-alcohol beverages. By harnessing the best of Suntory from across Australia and New Zealand, we will offer a unique portfolio of over 40 market-leading brands - powered by two local manufacturing sites, five distribution centres and more than 1500 Suntorians.

Together, we will bring the best of Suntory to Oceania.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a People Excellence Advisor to join us on a fixed-term basis, until June 2025- to support our growth to become Suntory Oceania. The People Excellence Advisor is the ‘face of the People and Culture', an integral member of the team as first point of contact for all people matters over ANZ. You will provide high quality operational HR advice, covering engagement, policy and procedures. This role manages all employee lifecycle coordination, allowing you to excel by bringing your personal flare and superb customer service skills to the role. You're able to support the achievement of business goals, while having a real impact on our employee experience and culture.

There will be plenty of opportunities to get involved with projects focussed on process improvements, and we'd love to hear your fresh ideas. If you have a passion for employment relations, you can collaborate with our People Excellence Partners to grow your skills in this area.

What's in your toolkit?

To enable you to hit the ground running in this role, you will have:

  • Prior experience in a generalist HR role
  • Excellent customer service mind-set
  • Immaculate attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A passion for deep-diving into understanding systems and processes
  • A proactive strategy mindset with the ability to source solutions independently
  • Robust communication skills
  • The ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • The ability to adapt and be flexible/agile in your approach as we embark on our transformation journey toward Suntory Oceania
  • Intellectual curiosity, complimented with the courage to challenge and question for a better outcome
