Our Before and After School care program aims to support families by providing an engaging and stimulating space for children outside of regular school hours.
Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Diploma trained Before and After School Care Educator to join our team Mon - Fri 2:30pm - 6pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and engaging activities for children Before and After School hours. This role involves creating a supportive and inclusive environment where children can develop social skills, explore their interests, and complete homework tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with children Before and After School hours.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Create a safe and supportive environment where children feel valued and respected.
- Assist children with homework and provide academic support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain).
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
