Personal Assistant To Orthopaedic Surgeon

A high-profile Sydney based Orthopaedic Surgeon is seeking two full-time experienced Personal Assistants to job share, ideally with a nursing or allied health background to provide assistance and support with day-to-day scheduling and coordination of commitments. The successful candidate must be highly organized with exceptional communication skills and have flexibility with work hours including the ability to travel if required. 

Major Responsibilities

• Manage overall commitments outside of his usual daily surgical practice including clinical duties, meetings and business affairs.
• Manage and coordinate the surgeons calendar for meetings, conference attendance, speaking events 
• Coordinate surgeons leave with the team to ensure minimal impact to patient appointment schedules 
• Manage surgeons email inbox including responding to enquires and actioning requests or referring on as appropriate.
• Travel and accompany the Surgeon to various clinics and theatres around Sydney 
• Accompany the Surgeon to meetings including dinner events as required
• Arrange conferences and symposiums and travel arrangements as necessary
• Collaborate with Surgeons wider teams including Hospital Executives, Practice staff and surgeons colleagues.
• Other ad hoc administrative duties

• Exceptional communication, time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail, quality and accuracy
• High level of problem-solving ability with strong decision making capability
• High standard of verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Ability to act with tact and discretion, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Highly Proficient in email, Microsoft, Powerpoint and Adobe suites and Apple functionality
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment
• Honesty, reliability and high standard of integrity
• Must have knowledge or experience using modern technology such as generative AI software to enable efficiency in all areas of organisations.

This position requires high level commitment and dedication with an on call expectation for a 4 day working week with one of those days being at least one day of every weekend. Must be available either Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday.

Salary negotiable based on experience.
