About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to perform Personal Care duties for our independent residents residing in villas and serviced apartments at Nellie Melba Retirement Village in Wheelers Hill. This role will work Monday to Friday 0830 - 1630.
At Ryman we are shaping the future of care. As a Personal Care Worker, you are helping care for our independent residents by adding value to their daily routines. Enable our residents to live life to the fullest through the provision of:
Personal care
Companionship
Shopping
Providing transport and support in attending appointments
Occasional ad hoc duties
No two days are the same as your schedule will involve visiting multiple Ryman independent apartment residents throughout the week within our beautiful villages!
About you
As Ryman expand our care offerings, we are looking for individuals who value kindness, care, and excellence to deliver care that is good enough for mum and dad. In addition we are looking for:
Certificate III/IV in Ageing support, Disability, or Individual Support
Have a valid Victorian Drivers License
Previous experience working with elderly / in a client centric role
Kindness in your DNA. You must be empathetic
Be resilient - some days are challenging
Outstanding communication skills. You must be able to establish strong connections and trust with our residents
