Turner Freeman is a national law firm, established in 1952 we have been providing Australians with a broad range of Personal Injury legal services and other client services. We have a proud history of over 70 years acting for and protecting the rights of injured people.
We are currently recruiting a full time Paralegal in a similar role to bring a positive hard working attitude to our Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast office to build on your current skillset.
Experience in the Personal Injury field would be advantageous.
The Role
This is a varied and busy role and you will be required to perform the following but not limited duties including mandatory legal assistant work that you have acquired in your previous employment:
- Open new matters;
- Preparing, drafting and proof reading of court documents and drafting correspondence;
- Preparing briefs to counsel;
- File, schedule management and research;
- Proactively communicate and liaise with external clients including medical & legal professionals;
- Following up on requests for medical reports from doctors and other experts;
- Preparing chronologies and summaries;
- Preparation of statements;
- Ongoing general administration duties.
The candidate
- Must have at least two (2) years' legal secretary / paralegal experience;
- Exceptional time management skills;
- A high level of attention to detail;
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills;
- Typing speed of 65+ words per minute;
- iManage and Aderant Express experience would be highly desirable, however, not essential with full induction training provided;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Enthusiastic and a great team player.
Salary will be commensurate with the successful applicant’s experience.
