The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Pharmacists - Senior (Emergency, General Medicine and Aged Care) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will

• Exercise professional judgement in the interpretation of policy and the formulation and implementation of change to current work practice or the introduction of new programs
• Independently apply professional knowledge and skills to deliver high level clinical pharmacy services
• Deliver high level clinical review services as part of a multidisciplinary team in developing pharmaceutical care plans and monitoring patient outcomes for both inpatients and outpatients
• Apply professional judgement to complex caseloads, exercising independent decisions
• Resolve complex issues utilising evidence based Medicine and highly developed clinical knowledge

About you
To be successful in this position you will require:

• Tertiary degree in Pharmacy from a recognised tertiary institution
• While not mandatory, a relevant post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy services will be well regarded
• AHPRA Registration
• Available to patriciate in on-call duties and all shift types
• Drivers Licence
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

• Permanent full time and permanent part time (two positions, hours negotiable) temporary full time or temporary part time (one position, hours negotiable, up to 6 months with the possibility of extension)
• Base salary ranging from $124 435 -133 901 $ per annum, $4 769.60 - $5 132.40 per fortnight or $62.75 - $67.53 per hour
