We’re looking for enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacists with a passion for education and training. This one of kind program is a great opportunity for you to join the team pioneering innovation in clinical education and support pharmacists in their clinical pharmacy journey. In this dynamic role you will partner with your colleagues in developing and consolidating their clinical pharmacy skills within a supported environment whilst also broadening your clinical scope of practice.
The Pharmacy Education Services Team will provide comprehensive training to enhance your clinical education skills to provide learners with effective and robust clinical training. This role also includes facilitating clinical workshops and continued education for the wider pharmacy department and the opportunity to provide clinical education to a variety of learners including pharmacy students and interns.
Further enhance your individual clinical development through the opportunity to practice in the wide-ranging specialties and wards available across Victoria’s largest healthcare service, as well as opportunities to participate in quality improvement and research projects.The key purpose of this role is to:
- Provide one on one clinical education and training to new and existing pharmacists to facilitate the provision of an exceptional clinical pharmacy service.
- Work effectively in a pharmacy team providing pharmacy services in a variety of areas and providing medicine and medicine advice safely and professionally to a variety of stakeholders.

A Day in the Life
As leaders and role models in education, you will closely collaborate with the Team Leaders to engage in training and developing team members in both Pharmacy and other disciplines. You’ll lead quality improvement initiatives and will have the opportunity to engage with Pharmacy professional groups outside Monash Health. Pharmacy Clinical Educators will continue to practice as clinical pharmacy team members to ensure they maintain their clinical knowledge and familiarity with processes and workflows. The role will be split: 60% clinical education and 40% clinical pharmacy service provision.
About You
You can demonstrate hospital pharmacy experience and either experience or a genuine interest in education. With a willingness to lead by example and to role-model expectations to others, you are also highly professional. Your positive approach is infectious and people enjoy working with you. You have significant experience as a clinical pharmacist, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teams to provide a high quality, efficient and patient focused service and support orientation and continued development of the clinical pharmacy workforce. You can also demonstrate:
- Commitment to research, education and professional contribution
- Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist and have Australian working rights
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications, such as Master of Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent and leadership experience will be highly regarded.
- You’ll need to be flexible to work across the Monash Health network so a current Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle will be required.
