Our established practice in Warners Bay is based very close to Lake Macquarie, in a very busy business hub with a referring GP clinic and radiology facility walking distance from the clinic.
The Role
We are looking for a vibrant, skilled and motivated physiotherapist with excellent communication skills to join our experienced and friendly team. You will use these skills to assess clients, determine and educate them on their diagnosis, and offer optimal treatment plans to help them achieve their goals. Depending on your experience a 3 month induction process will be tailored to offer weekly mentoring and support to ensure you're confident and comfortable in your new role.
As the Physiotherapist, you will:
- Deliver evidence based, quality care to our patients independently
- Be an active participant in ongoing professional development to uphold the principles of the practice of up to date quality service
- Work with a diverse clientele including workers compensation, private patients, DVA, EPC and Pre-Employment Assessments
- Have the opportunity to participate in ongoing continuous improvement both of our clinical practice and business development, growing and developing skills both inside and outside of the clinical realm
- Be an active part of the local community
- Report writing for various clientele
Skills & Experience
The successful applicant will be a motivated, committed, reliable and experienced Physiotherapist who has:
Essential Criteria
- Fully Qualified Bachelor of Physiotherapy (at a minimum)
- Current APHRA Registration
- Current Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
- Excellent Assessment and Diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability to interact with varied client base
- Great with manual therapy and exercise prescription
- Dry needling skills or an area of interest would be of value but not essential
- Willing to complete a drug and alcohol collector certificate that is needed to conduct pre-employment assessments
Desirable Criteria
- Lifelong learner, committed to delivering evidence based care and ongoing personal and professional development
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal across a variety of audiences including internal and external stakeholders
- Innovative and flexible with the ability to work autonomously as well as within a team in a high paced environment
- Have some experience with Dry Needling techniques
- Be able to work on a computer using various programs as we are a paperless clinic
