Join the Virtual Rehab team as an Physiotherapist and help support our commitment to quality patient care!
The Physiotherapist participates as a member of the Ambulatory Rehabilitation team ensuring optimal care and outcomes by providing a comprehensive range of physiotherapy services to patients receiving supported early discharge and home rehabilitation within the SALHN metropolitan area.
About the Role:
As the Physiotherapist, your duties may include:
- assessing patients’ physical abilities, problems and goals using a variety of formal and informal assessments
- planning and implementing intervention programs
- devise therapy programs and supervise Therapy Assistants in their implementation of these.
- prescribing and arranging for the provision of appropriate equipment
- communicating with patients’ family, carers, and other service providers
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree or other qualification which entitles registration as a physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
- Experience as a clinician in the assessment and provision of high-quality rehabilitation to clients with a variety of conditions requiring a rehabilitative approach.
- High levels of responsibility and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, delegate appropriately. This includes the ability to supervise students and allied health assistants.
- The ability to assess and provide appropriate Physio-therapeutic management to the patients of the ambulatory rehabilitation service with increasing levels of complexity.
