Job description

Are you a Physiotherapist looking for a change?

Perhaps you want to choose your own hours, work close to home, dream of a variety in your caseload… to be rewarded with pay that's well above average and with options for a company vehicle…

We want you!

Part-time Physiotherapist Opportunity working across the Adelaide hills.

Who we are:

SA Homecare Therapies is one of SA's fastest growing teams of mobile physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists and dietitians. Working predominantly with the older population, our goal is to help people stay happy and healthy at home.....whether it's a house, apartment, retirement village, or residential aged care facility.

We visit the Metropolitan and Adelaide Hills regions, and work closely with Home Care Package coordinators and aged care staff to help people achieve their goals.

We love being able to help people work on what's most important to them (and that's usually staying happy and healthy at home).

We also are an inclusive workplace, and celebrate diversity with people from all backgrounds, age groups, interests and experiences on our team.

The Opportunity:

As a Physiotherapist with SA Homecare Therapies, you will help people make the most out of their current living situation… but then work with them to regain their function and independence.

No two days will be the same as you provide mobile community care to clients across Adelaide undertaking assessments and making recommendations for our patients.

You will work closely with home care providers to make the most out of a person's current living situation, whist assisting them to regain function and independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking independent home safety assessments or individual assessments to meet specific referral criteria.
  • Recommendation and assessment for suitable small aides and equipment (where required) to help patients stay happy and healthy at home
  • Setting functional goals with your clients and delivering individualised therapy sessions to assist with function and wellbeing.
  • Producing a high level of professionalism with report writing skills.
  • Adhere to reporting timeline requirements for each service.
  • Delivering services effectively and efficiently in partnership with our scheduling team.
  • Delivery of services according to the requirements of our referrers, ensuring our clients and customers receive an exceptional experience.
  • Work collaboratively within our multidisciplinary team, supporting each other to deliver a high level of quality clinical care to our clients..

What We Offer:

With our team choosing the hours and days they work from Monday to Saturday, during and after business hours, we aim to provide flexibility. Whether you want to study, work around school hours, work after-hours, business hours or anything in between we will accommodate your requirements.

This is perfect for individuals looking for a better work/life balance, or those keen for variety and the ability to work “outside of the same four walls”!

We also have options for company vehicle usage.

We asked some of our wonderful PT's the benefits of working for SAHCT.

The most common answers included:

  • Being able to pick and choose your own hours (we strongly believe in maintaining work/life balance)
  • Rewarding, client centred, goal focused work
  • No limitations on treatment approach! You and the client decide what what is clinically indicated and what to focus on!
  • A consistent workload
  • Excellent pay, based on experience
  • Working close to home
  • The career development and growth opportunities
  • Our thorough onboarding and induction program

About You:

If you are a passionate, professional and caring PT we would love to hear from you!

You will love working autonomously as a mobile therapist on the road, providing individualised care to client's at home.

You will demonstrate your ability to build relationships across all aspects of your role and make professional contributions to a multidisciplinary environment, all while furthering your own professional development.

You will also need:

  • A Bachelor of Physiotherapy or Masters of Physiotherapy.
  • Full registration with AHPRA.
  • Knowledge of manual handling practices.
  • An Australian drivers licence and a reliable, registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance.

All applicants must have full working rights in Australia, have a valid National Crime Check, and evidence of current seasonal vaccination with respect to Influenza and COVID-19 (1st, 2nd and Booster doses).

To discuss the opportunity to join our team further please contact Mike on 0419 222 ***.
