About you:
You are a qualified Physiotherapist with demonstrated high-level of clinical knowledge, experience, and skill in the field of vestibular assessment and rehabilitation, including ability to integrate current professional development and evidence-based practice principles into clinical management and ability to manage a vestibular outpatients service. You ar confident to lead change in the development of high-level physiotherapy and vestibular service improvements and have demonstrated ability to provide support, training and supervision to physiotherapists and students working with vestibular patients.
Your opportunity:
The purpose of this position is to manage the operational aspects of the outpatient vestibular physiotherapy service which includes providing independent specialised clinical knowledge and skill in assessment and management of vestibular conditions, managing the Vestibular Outpatient service, co-ordinating service delivery, data collection and the day-to-day operation of the clinic. Apply high-level knowledge, skills and advice in clinical education and clinical practice supervision of relevant staff /students within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.
Your role:
- Deliver an independent high-level of physiotherapy clinical services to clients with a range of vestibular conditions in an outpatient physiotherapy clinical setting and provide consultancy and support to inpatient and emergency department physiotherapists who are managing vestibular clients. Recognised expertise, knowledge and skills are obtained through significant professional development activities, post-graduate education or formal qualification(s).
- Utilises evidence-based practice and professional judgement for a complex clinical caseload, to facilitate novel physiotherapy and multidisciplinary clinical decisions and management with minimal clinical practice supervision.
- Provide quality physiotherapy clinical advice regarding patients to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding professional standards and clinical service development.
