About the role
The Pick Packer is required to deliver high quality selection of produce. Support all functions when required to ensure the efficient and effective running of the business for Vic’s Premium Quality Meat.
For the successful candidate, the role could be full time, part time or casual.
The role based in Mascot, with untimed street parking available.
Duties & responsibilities
- Alerting the sales team and Purchasing Manager of any critically low or high levels of any particular stock.
- Manage transfers to ensure an efficient and effective transfer of product.
- Managing stock levels of cured meats.
- Accurately interpret product specification and descriptions as provided on the packing slips.
- Accurately label individual boxes with customer’s name, run number and contents.
- Accurately complete packing orders in a timely and efficient manner in order of priority.
- To pack orders in a methodical and meticulous manner, particularly in-so-far as ensuring delicate and valuable produce is appropriately placed in customer boxes to ensure safe delivery
- Assist with general maintenance of the warehouse
- Work collaboratively in a team environment
Skills & experience
- Meat industry experience highly desirable.
- Physically fit and strong - manual handling up to 20kg
- Warehouse experience preferable.
- Proficient English.
- Basic computer skills.
- RF Scanning experience essential.
- Good work ethic.
- Willingness to learn.
