About the role
We are seeking an experienced Pit Technician (Field Builder) to join the Thiess AHS Crew at Pembroke Resource’s Olive Downs Complex.
Pembroke Resource’s Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres south-east of Moranbah which commenced mining operations in mid-2023. Thiess has been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full service mining operations, including mine planning overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul (Autonomous), water management and rehabilitation as well as construction of the mine infrastructure.

Working a 7/7 DS NS roster and reporting to the AHS Supervisor, your duties will include:
- Safely conducting efficient operation of Autonomous Haul Trucks (AHT’s) and associated manual loading, hauling and ancillary equipment
- Responsible for the accuracy and verification of the virtual mine model against the physical mine through real time survey via the autonomous haulage system
- Collaborate and communicate with site and project teams and key internal and external stakeholders to meet the projects targets in areas of safety, environment, and production
About you
- Experience in the deployment and field validation of complex technology-based products, Minestar Command and/or Komatsu FrontRunner systems, in a Mining environment
- Previous experience in Autonomous operations highly regarded
- Understanding of network communications and data collection
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Relevant trade certificate, a tertiary qualification in engineering or automation/ mechatronics-related field
- Work in a collaborative team environment
- Valid C Class Driving License
