Pizzaiolo, Cuoco, Kitchen Assistant

The FoodLAB in Broome is seeking an experienced cook to join our crew. Experience in the kitchen is essential, and must have an excellent knowledge of Italian cuisine and its dynamics. The right candidate will have the opportunity to work in a healthy environment amongst professionals of the sector. The right candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in the kitchen, good knowledge of Italian food and culture, ability to work in remote area for at least 4 years. Experience in preparation and cooking of pasta is essential, the job requires the preparation of fresh pasta every day with a pasta extruder machine, and during dinner service the cooking and serving of the pasta. Daily duties are also the preparation of the mis en place and every kitchen duty required.

At the FoodLAB we serve fresh pasta cooked at the moment, pizzas and Italian sweets.

In exchange the FoodLAB offers the possibility to work in an healthy environment in a professional kitchen with the possibility to grow along with the business in one of the most beautiful town in WA. Pizza experience is preferred but not necessary as full training will be provided to the right candidate. 

Requirements for the right candidate is the ability to move and live in Broome for at least 2 years as the FoodLAB is planning a long term business growth.

Must have good working ethic, energy and especially a certain passion for good food. Working roster would be 5days a week, hours going from 12pm to 4pm, and 5pm till 9pm.

Full time contract at $70k pa plus superannuation.
