Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising for a Planner – Short Term to join the Lead Smelter- PbSM Planning team This is an excellent opportunity to further your experience and develop your technical skills and industry knowledge.
The Role
Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising an opportunity that exists for the role of a Planner – Short Term. Reporting to the Senior Engineer-Reliability and Planning, your day-to-day duties will include the setup and maintenance of the CMMS data used for all maintenance activities. This role works closely with Reliability, Project Engineers, and maintenance execution teams to ensure optimal maintenance activities are carried out. Master Data responsibilities encompass the initial establishment of an asset and strategy within the system, the ongoing review of strategy effectiveness, the facilitation of the Strategy Review Process, and the cost-effectiveness effectiveness and compliance.
This position is offered on a residential basis and you will be required to work a 5/2/4/3 lifestyle roster
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the procurement of resources, including parts and labor, ensuring availability for all scheduled work through work management and planned parts process
- Supporting supervisors and the management team in achieving KPI targets, developing and maintaining standard work instructions, maintenance scheduled tasks, and application parts listings
- Providing support to the maintenance and operations team in the development and implementation of assigned continuous improvement projects, including assisting with the review of work management procedures
- Establishing and implementing all maintenance systems and schedules, practices, and procedures for fixed and mobile plants and associated infrastructure
- Ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance with assets
- Ensuring WO are maintained and stored for future reference.
- Keep adherence to Glencore Schedule Loading Guidelines
- Experience in mechanical maintenance planning and scheduling within the mining industry is an advantage
- Strong computer skills and use of a CMMS (SAP is preferred)
- Trade or technical background highly desirable
- Experience in life-cycle costing is highly desirable, and mining experience will be highly regarded.
