An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a passion for merchandise planning to join a dynamic team at Commonry.
Reporting to the Merchandise Planning Manager, the position responsibilities include managing the allocation process, distribution systems and sales analysis.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED TO:
- Manage the allocation process, distribution systems, and sales analysis.
- Allocate stock considering store profile, market segmentation, demographics, and store turnover.
- Conduct stock consolidations on a company level, liaising with Head of Retail, Merchandise Planning Manager, and state managers.
- Raise purchase orders and process all purchase order revisions.
- Assist planning team with stock management through allocations, consolidations, replenishment setup, and maintenance.
- Process markdowns and re-prices, including white stickers, as advised by the Merchandise Planning Manager.
- Report, publish, and analyse daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales.
- Produce stock progress reports and make sales recommendations.
- On-site role 5-days per week, based in our St Kilda Road offices.
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent in fashion, business, economics or finance is preferred, open to recent graduates with a focus on fashion or business studies (desirable but not essential).
- Previous experience in stock allocation or a sound understanding of retail.
- Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Suite, and Outlook.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understanding of retail market trends and store demands.
