The Role
This position is responsible for establishing and communicating the strategic direction of the Mine. They will ensure that the Life of Mine strategy and Medium term planning integrates into the successful delivery of the business plan by managing geological, geotechnical, design and operational risks.
Ideal Candidates will have:
- Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the mining industry.
- Underground production and planning experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground mine.
- Significant experience in all planning processes, from long to short term.
- Experience in all aspects of mine design (lateral/vertical development and production).
- Intermediate experience using Deswik suite software for planning functions.
- First Class Mine Manager’s Ticket desirable.
