Reporting directly to the General Manager of Supply Chain, this role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless coordination and synchronization of supply chain activities. The Planning Manager will oversee a dedicated planning team, directing their efforts to achieve an optimal supply chain balance. This position involves meticulously aligning supply with demand across short and medium-term planning horizons, ensuring operational efficiency, minimising inventory costs, and maximising customer satisfaction. Through strategic foresight and adept decision-making, the Planning Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the equilibrium between supply availability and market demands, significantly contributing to the organisation's overall success and profitability.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead short-term forecasting aligned with organisational goals.
- Facilitate collaboration between farming, supply chain, and demand teams.
- Identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
- Mentor and empower supply, production, and demand planners.
- Optimise production scenarios and resource allocation through analytics.
- Develop KPIs for planning efficacy and operational performance.
- Ensure on-time delivery and fulfillment of customer targets.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior leadership.
- At least 5 years’ experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or agricultural sectors
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in demand planning tools and software
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement
