The role
The Planning Manager is responsible for delivering market leading implementation planning which ensures our clients media plans are delivering required media and business outcomes. The diversity of this role will allow you to stretch your skills across both traditional and digital media working across many high-profile global brands within the FMCG space.
You are the day-to-day lead on the development of Connections Plans however this is done in close collaboration with your Trading Manager to ensure all recommendations are underpinned by accurate media pricing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop all Connections Plans in collaboration with the trading team ensuring they deliver on the briefed business outcomes.
- Incorporation of UM proprietary planning tools, such as Growth Accelerator, into the planning recommendations.
- Translate strategy & channel recommendation to trading hubs team.
- Trains junior team members on UM approach to Planning.
- Contribute to the preparation of Media Landscape quarterly reviews to clients.
- Support the Senior Planning Manager and Planning Director by managing day to day workflow, ensuring all tasks that are delegated from the Senior Planning Manager / Planning Director are completed within the given timeframes.
- Support workflow and resource allocation across the total Planning team.
Who you are
- You have 3-4 years experience in the industry. You have a fundamental and robust knowledge of the Australian media landscape, and can translate this knowledge into an educated point of view of the impact it has on your client’s business and/or approach to the planning craft.
- You have expert knowledge of industry tools such as SMD and Asteroid, and have an ability to train those in your team effectively on these tools. You are also proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- You have very good attention to detail.
- You have the ability to create a positive and motivating work environment.
