In this role, you'll be the guardian of procurement & purchasing processes, as well as vendor management. You'll be responsible for:
- Creating compliant purchase orders based on received requisitions, ensuring accurate information and adherence to procurement policy.
- Liaising with requisitioners to ensure timely receipting of goods and services, facilitating efficient supplier payments.
- Providing support to users experiencing issues with purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
- Managing vendor data throughout the onboarding and pre-qualification process, ensuring compliance with internal policies, risk management requirements, and audit standards.
- Generating reports to support the Procurement function, including vendor cleansing, procurement dashboards, and spend analysis.
- Contributing to proactive long-term purchasing planning by providing reports on purchasing measures, spend patterns, and payment efficiency.
- Develop and deliver training materials on purchasing processes for ElectraNet staff.
The successful candidate will:
- Have demonstrable experience in a Procurement Officer type role.
- Be tertiary qualified in Purchasing or a related discipline (desirable)
- Have a strong understanding of SAP, particularly the Materials Management module and its integration with other business functions.
- Be highly proficient in MS Excel reporting.
- Be highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of procurement principles.
- Have a strong compliance mindset and ability to identify risk.
- Be a skilled administrator with expertise in purchase order creation and vendor management.
