The Role
Reporting to the Site Finance Manager, the main responsibilities of this position will see you assisting with tracking, analysing and reporting on the financial costing of the company's product lines and to project and forecast the impact of potential influxes and declines in product demand. You will also assist with providing high-quality finance business partnering support to the Operations team on site to assist them in delivering the organisation’s strategy. On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for but not be limited to the following duties.
- Assist with maintaining timely monthly accounts and commentaries
- Assist with the annual budget, produce quarterly re-forecast and provide commentary
- Assist with the production and maintenance of accurate BOMs (bill of materials)
- Assist with analysing monthly results including variances against budget, forecasts and previous estimates
- Assist with new and existing product costing
- Assist with process improvement projects for Operations
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations are prepared
- Support capital project preparation;
- Assist with reviewing of accruals and provisions, ensuring that all accruals greater than 90 days are adequately documented followed up and cleared
- Ad hoc projects and duties as specified by the Finance Manager
- You will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and desire to learn and develop your knowledge and skills
- You will possess previous Accounting experience
- University degree qualified in Business / Commerce major in Accounting
- CA or CPA qualified or currently completing
- Strong communication skills
