Reporting to the Plant Manager and working within a supportive team, you will partner closely with staff, sub-contractors and the Clients to provide essential Plant and Maintenance Coordination and Administration. The role will be based in Burswood with regular site visits based on projects ranging from bulk earthworks, detailed earthworks, concrete works, underground services, drainage, and pavements. This is a busy and diverse role for a Plant & Maintenance Coordinator looking for the next challenge across the Civil Infrastructure industry.
Primary Duties:
- Work closely with the Plant Manager in all aspects of Plant and Maintenance across the business portfolio
- Assist with establishing and building Halos's contracting business
- Manage a portfolio of Halos's fleet and assets
- Assist in the growth of the business both on and offsite in relation to Halos's fleet management.
- Provide fit for purpose plant and vehicles that we well maintained and have high usage
- Communicate job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing contributions
- Manage the disposal of plant and vehicles surplus to halo's requirements
- Develop and implement a 3 year plant and vehicle disposal replacement schedule.
- Manage an annual physical audit of Halo's workshops and depot.
- Manage relationships with key operations vendors
- Track vendor Pricing, rebates and service levels.
- Assisting the Plant Manager with procurement of new fleet
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews. Preparing action plans, implementing production, productivity, quality and customer service standards, resolving problems, complete audits and identifying current trends
- Establish contracts and pricing and ensuring proper maintenance and servicing as primary liaison with vendors
- Ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA and other governmental regulations.
- Seve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to equipment, quality, customer service or accidents and mishaps onsite.
- Administration for associated tasks and any adhoc as requested by the Plant Manager.
- A valid and clean C class driver’s and a HR licence is very beneficial to this role.
- Previous experience, preferably in a business dealing with Plant and Maintenance
- Construction White Card
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Physically Fit for any manual movements required.
- Self-motivated, ambitious and driven personality.
- Great communication skills.
- Great computer skills with Microsoft packages.
