Ehrlich Power Contractors (EPC) is an electrical contracting company based in Toowoomba. Who are focused on building a reputation based on quality, safety and performance.
Our core projects are within the electrical distribution, overhead powerline, underground subdivision industries, traffic signals, roadway lighting construction and maintenance.
We complete projects throughout QLD and NSW working on the Ergon Energy, Energex and Essential Energy networks, Main Roads, and Local Councils.
About the role
As Plant Operator/Trades Assistant you are responsible for the operation of plant machinery, including but not limited to Excavator, Skid Steer and Forklift. You will be working within QLD and NSW. You will also be required to assist tradespeople in performing support duties under general supervision including assisting in the construction, maintenance and associated activities on overhead/underground electrical network, civil works, subdivision and other projects conducted by EPC.
As Borer Lifter Crane Operator you are responsible for the operation of a Borer Lifter Crane vehicle and plant machinery, working within our own line crews and working independently with distribution crews. You will be working on local networks within QLD and NSW. You will also be required assisting tradespeople in performing support duties under general supervision including assisting in the construction, maintenance and associated activities on overhead/underground electrical network, subdivision and other projects conducted by EPC.
Training will be provided for a suitable applicant.

About you
Plant Operator/Trades Assistant andBorer Lifter Crane Operators should be safety focused and able to follow correct procedures at all times. It’s important you can work as part of a team and communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues. The role will involve some night work and a willingness to travel when required. The following skills and qualifications will be an advantage:
- Driver’s Licence
- Construction White Card
- HR Truck Licence
- C2 Crane Licence (preferred but not essential)
- Excavator/Skid Steer/Forklift Licence
- CPR and First Aid Trained
- Truck and heavy vehicle experience
