We currently have an opportunity available for a Plant Services Engineer to join the team at Visy Glass in Penrose on a full-time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Plant Reliability Manager, you will focus primarily on the operation, maintenance and improvement of the Plant Services in Visy Glass Penrose, as well as supporting other members within the site engineering team with engineering work they require.

This position also leads initiatives in reducing plant downtime by conducting preventative maintenance activities, supervising breakdown repairs, general plant service fault-finding, and to work on projects as required.

In addition to Safety being at the forefront of everything we do, there will be routine jobs associated with this role, including plant mechanical services operation, fire services operation and general fault finding and repair of plant equipment.

What you will bring to the team:

This role requires a high level of process understanding, good workmanship, quality and safety. You will need to have discipline, be analytically minded, and continuous improvement focused. There is also a large scope of work and a large plant to maintain, and this can be difficult to balance, however there will always be a priority first on Safety, then Quality, Cost and Output.

Your extensive experience in mechanical and process engineering, along with your background of working in a high volume and fast paced manufacturing environment, will set you up for success in this role.
