Our client in the education sector is seeking an experienced PMO Manager. The position purpose is focused on creating and sustaining an innovative information technology culture as one dynamic team.***You are required to work on-site 3 days a week located in the northern suburbs***The PMO manager reports to the Director Engagement & Delivery team and is
accountable for:
- Provision of support of all projects through the required governance and framework in adherence Frameworks, tools and templates
- Project Assurance
- Project resource support across staff and consultants within information services aligning to the wider portfolio resourcing
- Demand Management across the Investment portfolio and prioritisation in consultation with stakeholders.
- Lead, manage and motivate staff in a major functional area or service grouping. Developing and raising their performance including responsibility for setting and reviewing longer term performance criteria and objectives.
- Review performance & services in the area of responsibility and compares it to best practice elsewhere, identifying areas of improvement in structure, practices, policies and technology.
- Develop and review major policies, objectives, programs or strategies involving high level liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including framing relevant internal consultation and negotiation strategies.
- Management support and strategic advice to the Director Engagement and Delivery, CIO and University Executive and leadership teams on all aspects of the IS Investment Management Plan including governance, roadmaps, prioritisation of initiatives, status, progress, financial and benefits realisation.
- Establish and maintain forward thinking Demand Management and work intake/pipeline processes enabling information-based decision making in the selection of IT investments.
- Provide expert advice and direction to project managers, stakeholders and other affected parties of projects on how to apply the methodology and processes to their work.
- Minimum 5 year's experience in managing a Program Management Office.
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to negotiate, motivate, influence and build relationships.
- Experience in the use of Service Now with skills in the setup and use of the PPM module an advantage.
