Join the Higher Education sector as a PMO Support Officer to contribute to the functionality of the Portfolio Management System. This is a crucial role in enhancing the delivery of capital projects and programs across the organisation. You will provide support to the EPMO team and external stakeholders, including creating projects, onboarding users, coordinating month-end financial processes, scheduling, timesheet management, and project status updates.
What You Will Do
- You will be responsible for reporting on project, program, and portfolio activities on a regular basis.
- Manage all aspects of the Portfolio Management System, including setting up and maintaining project records, user permissions, and resource onboarding.
- Provide assistance in financial processes as required.
- Oversee and facilitate the timesheet process, ensuring accurate recording of project hours.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in project management, system usage, and related activities.
- Engage with various stakeholders within the PMO to identify and deliver agreed-upon work packages.
What You Have Done
- An undergraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, ideally in a Project/Portfolio Management Office setting.
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools such as MS Project Online or an equivalent PPM system, Office 365, and SharePoint.
- Demonstrated process mapping experience to assist in and drive process improvements.
- Proven organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with and build relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A project management qualification such as Prince 2, Agile, MoP, or PMBOK will be a bonus.
