One of QLD's largest state departments are seeking an Electrical Engineer who is eager to learn & better this skills! In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and functionality of traffic signals, road lighting, and Intelligent Transport Systems. You'll collaborate with a dynamic team to plan, design, construct, and maintain these systems. The department are looking for someone with limited experienced & someone with a willingness to learn in the graduate space!
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and test configuration files for traffic signal controllers in line with design specifications and organizational policies.
- Participate in project management activities, contributing to the planning, design, and construction phases of electrical and electronic projects.
- Assist in preparing design processes to ensure compliance and successful project outcomes.
- Apply problem-solving skills and professional judgment to analyze and conceptualize solutions to meet design objectives.
- Identify potential issues and negotiate adjustments to design briefs as necessary for project acceptance.
- Stay updated on relevant standards, policies, and legislative requirements related to electrical, electronic, and IT systems in road infrastructure deployment.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to road infrastructure development.
- Develop leadership and management skills through on-the-job opportunities.
- Uphold ethical standards and adhere to legislative frameworks and workplace health & safety policies.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Software Engineering from a recognized institution.
