What is the role?
Tenure: Permanent Full-Time
We are seeking a motivated and talented individual to the position of Policy and Projects Officer in the Aboriginal Engagement and Economic Development Directorate (AEED). This position supports the delivery and coordination of all activity within the AEED.
The role of the AEED is to ensure the effective coordination and implementation of JTSI’s ‘Aboriginal Engagement and Partnerships Framework’ across our organisation, to embed Aboriginal values in the way that we work, and to support Aboriginal engagement, partnerships and our commitment to reconciliation.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the delivery and coordination of activities within AEED. Your primary focus will be on fulfilling JTSI's commitments as outlined in its Reconciliation Action Plan. Your responsibilities will include providing executive secretariat support for JTSI's engagement with the Aboriginal Affairs Coordinating Committee (AACC), the Closing the Gap Deputies Groups, and various interagency forums related to Aboriginal economic participation and development. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering executive and secretariat support for JTSI's Aboriginal Business, Investment and Trade Board.
You will also lead the coordination of annual Aboriginal engagement events calendar, including organizing JTSI staff workshops, in collaboration with the Office of the Director General.
