Poly Welding Supervisor

A Plus Contracting and Poly Welding is a leading civil contractor based in Branxton NSW servicing the coal mining, power industry, government projects and civil construction around Newcastle, Hunter Valley and the Central Coast. Due to continued growth and recent new contracts, we have immediate start for long term employment opportunities for the right candidates.

Currently we have position for a Poly Welding Supervisor.

You will be responsible for supervising three small crews for the supply, welding and installation and maintenance of poly pipelines and water transfer pumps. Reporting to the General Manager and interfacing with the site customer representatives. The roll includes planning materials, work permits, resources and manning for completing small projects and maintenance in line with customer priorities and to ensure these projects are completed safely, on time and on budget.

Applicants for these rolls will be required to:

• Hold a current NSW Drivers Licence with a good driving record. Class HR is preferred
• Must have current Poly Welding ticket with no less than 4 years of Poly Welding experience on a variety of Poly Welding machines. 
• Demonstrate experience supervising small crews or small projects
• Good computer skills in MS Office
• Hold front line management course certificates (favourable)
• Hold a Glencore NSW Generic Induction (highly favourable)
• Promote, participate and uphold the company’s outstanding safety culture. 
• Be willing to adhere to all company and client policies and procedures. 
• Work within a team environment and autonomously as required.
• Be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical including Drug & Alcohol testing.
• Have the right to work in Australia and reside within a reasonable driving distance.
