About the role
As a Portfolio Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our portfolio management efforts by conducting in-depth analysis, monitoring portfolio performance, and providing valuable insights to optimise investment strategies. You will work closely with portfolio managers, research analysts, and other key stakeholders to ensure that investment decisions are informed by rigorous analysis and comprehensive risk management
- Conduct thorough analysis of investment portfolios, including performance attribution, risk assessment, and benchmarking.
- Draft assurance reports to document discoveries and pinpoint primary risks pertinent to the program or project.
- Monitor portfolio performance on an ongoing basis, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for optimization.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate with research analysts and portfolio managers to generate investment ideas and contribute to the investment decision-making process.
- Develop relevant metrics capable of assessing project performance and advancement.
- Modify reporting and analytics tools, methodologies, and protocols to suit diverse project and program scales, categories, and delivery models.
- Provide aid in the operational management and assistance for the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Tool and its related processes.

Skills & experience
- Relevant qualifications in program & portfolio management or relevant experience in an EPMO environment, preferably within a state or federal government environment.
- Proven experience in leading and supporting transformational projects and programs
- An appreciation and understanding of tight deadlines, budget constraints and competing priorities will be highly valued.
