Role Purpose
Forming part of our Portfolio Development Team, the role of the Portfolio Development Advisor enables all your commercial experience, market knowledge and passion for the clean Energy Transition to come together to perform the commercial and modelling activities required to support large scale development projects and deliver our future energy portfolio.
Joining our high trust, collaborative and dedicated Trading, Transition and Reputation business unit, you will play a key role in driving EnergyAustralia’s transition to a cleaner energy future.
Key Duties & Accountabilities
- Development and management of sophisticated financial models to support business decisions $100mil - $1bil+, with a specific focus on project finance to support large-scale initiatives
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop, refine and document key modelling assumptions
- Supporting the origination of opportunities to build a development pipeline and deliver the future energy portfolio of EnergyAustralia, including renewable energy, battery storage, pumped hydro, wind, and a range of other emerging utility scale technologies
- Develop and recommend commercial structures that optimise risk allocation and financial considerations
- Present to internal and external stakeholders, whilst developing and maintaining strong external networks
About You
With your relevant experience with infrastructure investment in the power industry and /or similar development roles, you will know how critical it is to draw upon your foundational corporate finance and commercial skillset to execute effective deal structuring and development support. In addition to these rich and deep commercial attributes we will see you showcase your other core skills of;
- Strong passion for delivering the transition to a clean energy system
- Excellent interpersonal skills, collaborative and teamwork orientation about your working style and how you carry yourself
- Particular expertise in commercial modelling and/or modelling infrastructure assets
- Demonstrated strength to “think big picture”, but can get your hands dirty across the detail on the “how” and “what” factors
- Strong ability to work within a matrix organisation, cross-functional teams and value relationships to achieve positive business outcomes
