About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Organisational Development & People Experience, the Senior Advisor, Inclusion & Wellbeing is accountable for managing sustainable inclusion, diversity and employee wellbeing strategies and initiatives. This includes partnering with leaders and colleagues across the organisation and leveraging support of the PC&T team to provide leadership and advice that enables the advancement of an inclusive workplace culture.
Core Accountabilities
- Understand and promote the latest research, thinking and practice on key diversity areas including women, First Peoples, people with disability, LGBTIQ+, people from a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background.
- Identify, develop and deliver D&I and employee wellbeing initiatives in line with business and People & Culture strategy and commitments.
- Identify organisational-wide D&I learning priorities and develop solutions to address these.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures to best meet organisational D&I and wellbeing objectives.
- Monitor and report on progress of D&I and employee wellbeing strategies, including the Gender Equality Action Plan.
- Develop solutions to track and report on appropriate and relevant metrics
- Seek input and feedback from employees and leaders across all levels of the business to continually enhance the effectiveness of strategies and activities
- Work with the Executive Team and other leaders to ensure that supporting inclusion and wellbeing is a key part of their people practices.
- Support our D&I employee working groups and the D&I Committee to best shape and effectively advance their agenda
- Facilitate focus groups, training and workshops
- Promote and drive participation in initiatives targeting increased capability and awareness of D&I matters.
- Act as a SME on inclusion and wellbeing within the PC&T team and more broadly in the business
- Develop and maintain relationships with service providers, including managing procurement processes.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology or other relevant discipline highly desirable.
- Demonstrated significant experience in developing, implementing and evaluating innovative programs and policies to achieve diversity, equality and inclusion objectives.
- Change management skills to embed sustainable practices and capability that positively enhances organisational culture.
- Leadership and influence skills including the ability to engage others from all parts of the organisation.
- Knowledge and understanding of Federal and Victorian anti-discrimination legislation and equity and diversity employment issues.
- Strong communication skills and an engaging presence to ensure that strategies, initiatives and success stories are communicated and shared throughout the organisation in addition to reporting on targets and progress.
- Proven track record in delivering a program of works in a timely and effective manner to achieve material outcomes.
