A rare portfolio role that builds on your existing knowledge and passion to drive real results and combine strategic thinking with operational reality. A growth and sustainability-focused portfolio with exciting strategic initiatives underway and planned into the future, the Direct Packages portfolio provides insurance cover for small to medium businesses and includes a range of coverages and combinations distributed through both intermediated and direct channels.
This exciting role involves contributing to the performance of the portfolio by understanding strategy and driving that through to real business outcomes. A key focus is activating and optimising the existing and potential opportunities, practices and priorities within the portfolio by utilising your connected end-to-end thinking and 'can do' attitude.
What you'll do (not limited to):

• Identify and recommend key actions for prioritisation that will drive achievement of business goals
• Utilise customer and operational insights to advise on customer- and business- enabling initiatives
• Support and develop relationships across the value chain to enable delivery of portfolio and business goals,
• Understand roles and responsibilities to build engagement on common goals and business outcomes
• Utilise your understanding of products and distribution and how propositions connect with customer needs
• Understand competitive positioning, strengths and opportunities.

What you will bring:

• A high degree of commercial acumen in order to effectively build common understanding and support prioritisation in a pragmatic business context
• Experience in General Insurance Underwriting, Sales and/ or Claims
• A deep customer-centric approach
• Knowledge of how levers in insurance work to drive performance
• Knowledge of small business insurance practices and products (desired)
• An ability to respond to the external environment and to apply sound commercial decision making.
