About the Position
The ideal candidates would have experience in Commercial and Property Law and/or Mortgage Law.
The positions involve working in matters relating to:
- Mortgages
- Contract drafting and negotiation;
- Leasing;
- Residential and commercial transactions;
- Other property, business, and development matters;
The positions are suited to candidates who:
- Have an excellent eye to detail;
- Show dedication and initiative;
- Have common sense and a “can do” attitude;
- Enjoy working as part of a team;
- Have Commercial experience.
Please note that the positions involve daily engagement with clients, and it is expected that you will hit the ground running in a very practical way.
Your duties will include:
- Reviewing, advising on and drafting contracts in property transactions including commercial leasing;
- Ability to negotiate lease terms with Landlords, Tenants and Agents;
- Undertaking and being able to process all steps in conveyancing transactions
- Understanding development work and off-the-plan drafting and reviewing for residential and commercial Contracts;
- If Mortgage Law is your thing we need you to understand all aspects of mortgage law from advice to settlement.
These are full-time positions and commence immediately.
What we are looking for
We are seeking self-motivated and competent lawyers who have 1–3 years (or more) PAE. The ideal candidates will be passionate and have a keen interest in mortgages, commercial and property law. Our firm’s main motto is that we are built on establishing and maintaining strong client relationships that last a lifetime, thus it is important that the candidate must have a client focused mindset and be prepared to actively build these client relationships.
