This position is funded by an Australian Research Council Discovery project. We seek to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate with expertise in Carbon Catalysts for Hydrogen Production and fuel cells.Working closely with and his team, the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience synthesising Carbon Catalysts, conducting catalyst performance tests using batch/continuous flow reactors and hydrogel fuel testing facilities, characterising Carbon Catalysts using ex-situ and in-situ tools, and publishing in high-impact scientific journals.Additional experiences in collaboration with researchers on DFT and molecular dynamic modelling will be ideal for this position.Your key responsibilities will be to:manage own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small-scale project management to coordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlinesadopt existing and develop new scientific techniques and experimental protocolstrain postgraduate and undergraduate students on scientific techniques and experimental protocolsorganise and document weekly research meetings with research collaboratorsprepare research progress reports upon requests from research collaboratorsprepare journal articles based on experimental results or systematic literature reviews for publication in high-impact journalsdevelop new research ideas and present detailed proposals for competitive grants or fellowship applicationsensure that all aspects of the research program are conducted according to WHS regulations.About youThe University values courage and creativity; openness and engagement; inclusion and diversity; and respect and integrity.
