Form of workOur client, who is a government owned corporation, and produces the majority of the electricity to the people of the Northern Territory are seeking a suitably qualified and skilled Power Station Operator based in Alice Springs on a 2-year fixed term contract. Overview Based permanently in Alice Springs, the Operator will work shift work as required to achieve effective monitoring of generating plant and associated equipment across the differing technologies at the Power Station. Key accountabilities include: Operational Coordination: Collaborate with the Remote Operations Centre (ROC) in Berrimah to ensure the smooth operation of the Power Station.
Operate parts or entire sections of the station in local mode under ROC directives. Maintenance Management: Work closely with the Outside Operator Manager to implement Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) processes, facilitating safe access to plant facilities for maintenance activities.
