Partum Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Distribution & Transmission Lines Engineer and Designer with a design skillset to complement our dynamic team to support our power projects across Australia.Within this role you will work on a variety of projects and diverse range of clients around Australia. The role offers an opportunity to support a growing team in an expanding market and will suit your focus on success and long term career growth. The position entails direct involvement in distribution and transmission line modelling and design.The position will offer:

• Opportunity to work on major transmission and distribution projects all around Australia.
• Greenfield and brownfield projects with pole and tower structures.
• Maintaining project schedules, outputs and provide feedback to your manager / lead for reporting.
• Training and mentoring junior team members by providing guidance and advice to all within the project discipline stream.
• Interacts closely with internal teams to ensure that project needs, and objectives are met.
• Act as a subject matter expert regarding electrical transmission and distribution line engineering and design activities.
• Assistance & support in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Carry out preliminary design for optimisation through to detailed design, verify calculations and check design details.
• Reviewing, checking of engineering deliverables produced by the discipline stream.
• Ensure appropriate engineering methods are applied by all within the project discipline.
• Prepare technical queries and carry out any vendor data review.
• Develop methods and procedures to improve efficiency of the discipline stream.
• Participate in engineering, design, and construction review processes.
• Participate in Safety in design, Hazop, Hazop Workshops.
• Interpret plans, specifications, drawings, and documents related to engineering and construction.
• Travel to project sites and / or client premises, as required.
• Attractive remuneration package.
• Potential to move to a Lead role.

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following knowledge, skills and experience:

• At least 5 years of technical experience carrying out distribution and transmission lines engineering and / or design.
• Extensive knowledge of national codes & standards particularly AS7000
• Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Civil / Structural Engineering
• At least 5 years experience and proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE
• It would be advantageous to have experience in PLS-TOWER
