About the role:We're looking for a PR Manager to join our Public Relations team based in Brisbane.The purpose of the PR Manager is to contribute to the Consumer PR team's representation of the SCA brands to media, shareholders, employees, and all external stakeholders. The PR Manager is responsible for ensuring that all internal and external communications are consistent and aligned to SCA's business strategy.The PR Manager will also work to enhance SCA's external branding and reputation through effective storytelling that aligns to the organisation's brands and values. Additionally, this role will undertake activities to enhance SCA's Employer Brand and Employee Value Proposition to support employee retention and attract talent.Experience we're looking for:
  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, PR, or Marketing (highly desirable).
  • 2-3 years of experience within a professional public relations role, either agency or internal.
  • Experience in preparing comprehensive Consumer PR plans.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal and experience in preparing, writing and editing media releases and media briefings.
  • Experience in managing media relations and developing a strong media network.
  • Successful and consistent track record of delivering positive earned media coverage.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Applications - Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills; able to build genuine and positive rapport and relationships internally and externally at SCA.
  • Experience effectively managing highly confidential information with discretion and respect.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to adopt a range of communication styles, tools and techniques appropriate to the audience and the nature of the information.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Applications - Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
