What does the job look like?
Linfox’s Intermodal business unit are currently seeking an Operations Manager located in Acacia Ridge QLD. As a part of this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the site. It will ensure a safe and efficient, customer focused operation through leadership of the direct reports and broader operational team. In addition, the role assists in the management of key stakeholder customer relationships, both internal and external, supporting the general requirements of the site, its management and staff. We currently have a permanent full time opportunity working Monday to Friday, commencing from 8:00am/9:00am. Key Areas:
- Promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring commitment to Safety, COR and Quality requirements at all times.
- Operational responsibility with a focus on driving improvement and innovation and organic growth through new customer integration.
- Effective management and development of direct reports and driver workforce to provide efficiency.
- Analyse equipment and operational tasks to deliver productive outcomes through resource utilization, route optimization and subcontractor management.
- Ensure the Queensland Intermodal operation is providing superior service offerings to customers through partnership with internal stakeholders.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote continuous improvement.

This is a pivotal role requiring a manager with experience within the transport industry. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience providing leadership and effective commercial and operational decision making. You can demonstrate:
- Experience managing people within a Road or Rail transport Operation.
- Ability to confidently lead and develop a high-performance team.
- Understanding of financial drivers and cost control.
- Process driven, Analytical and Methodical.
- Self-driven to achieve and drive outcomes on a daily basis.
