Remuneration: AHP4 ($112,625 - $122,610 p.a. + 11% Super)
The Department for Child protection is seeking a Practice Leader, Adverse Events to join on a full-time ongoing basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Providing leadership on Adverse Events related issues, including the provision of expert advice regarding legislation and the application of the operationalise the Practice Approach relating to Adverse Events.
- Leading and managing the identification of Adverse Events that require interagency reviews and contributing to the development of recommendations.
- Developing and providing oversight of the Interagency Practice Review Panel and undertaking project and program management activities as required.
- Coordinating the implementation of sensitive, innovative and complex strategies that impact on service wide operations.
To be successful in this role you will have significant experience in providing high quality evidenced based and culturally appropriate social work practice to children, young people, their families and carers.
You will also have leadership experience and be able to establish and maintain a professional learning and development environment, including contributing to the delivery of workplace learning opportunities, mentoring, coaching and co-working with staff.
The role requires you to have a demonstrated experience in undertaking case reviews involving Adverse Events, and an understanding of DCP policies and practice guidance.

Special Conditions
Essential Qualifications: A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
