The position
HR+ is in a unique position to offer an exceptional practice manager (or business consulant - preferrably in health) a consulting role within the primary health workforce team. The team are all experts in their field, and you will receive ongoing training and support to excel in advising practices to be their best.
The Practice Management Consultant will collaborate with our existing practice support team to provide professional development to non-clinical staff, promote sustainable business practice and build expertise in recruitment and management of staff within GP practices.
The ability to deal with a range of stakeholders, including GP’s, allied health professionals, practice managers, government organisations and a whole range of internationally trained medical professionals will be a critical part of your day-to-day role. Your regular engagement with GP practices will also strengthen the placement of GP registrars to where they are most needed.
The position will support the Southern Region of Tas, but can be based anywhere in the State. The hours can be negotiated between 0.8FTE and full time. This role will also support workforce prioritisation and planning, working within a multidisiplinary team to support the rural health workforce needs of Tasmania.
The organisation
HR+ is a not-for-profit incorporated association contracted by the Australian and Tasmanian governments to recruit and retain general practitioners, nursing and allied health professionals in Tasmania, with an emphasis on rural and remote communities. Our organisation is one of seven Rural Workforce Agencies funded by the Australian Government nationally. HR+ also delivers the Health Workforce Scholarship Program and is a registered NDIS provider of Coordination of Supports and Plan Management.
