Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience in a management and/or high-level practice administrative position
- Experience in financial management, accounting systems and reporting processes
- Experience in payroll systems and legislated employment conditions
- The ability to demonstrate and encourage leadership and teamwork
- Experience in excellent customer service
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Previous experience with our dental practice software Exact preferable
- Working knowledge of Windows-based software systems e.g. Word, Excel
- Working rights in Australia
Tasks & responsibilities
- Meet and greet patients, customers, suppliers and practice staff
- Manage all incoming phone calls and communications for the practice
- Schedule patient appointments and perform follow-up confirmation communication
- Process payments, health insurance rebates and other claims
- Preparing and checking fees for accuracy, including but not limited to, ensuring fees are allocated to the correct patient and provider
- Work collaboratively with practice staff to develop and maintain practice policies and procedures and oversea day-to-day practice operations
- Ensure consumables and equipment are kept stocked and maintained to standard
- Coordinate staff employment and rosters, including leave cover, and the interviewing and hiring of staff
- Conduct regular staff training, meetings and appraisals
- Responsible for upholding and building upon the safety, quality and culture of the practice, consistent with the values of the practice
