Your new company
Located in Cairns, this leading healthcare service provider is looking for an experienced Practice Manager to lead and support the merge of two well-established practices into their new location. This position is instrumental in ensuring a seamless transition.
You will have the ability to deliver exceptional customer service and display care and compassion to the practice patients, manage the reception and nursing staff to ensure efficient and smooth running of the practice, and to provide a positive, harmonious and motivating work environment.
Your new role
The successful applicant will be responsible for dealing with all day-to-day operational requirements of running a professional medical centre as well as all aspects of employee management including development, performance management and centre budgeting. You will understand Work Health and Safety requirements and the application of those requirements, as well as ensure documented policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Support the Directors with strategic and business planning aligned to growth objectives and goals
- Effective, positive leadership of staff to ensure the smooth running of practice functions
- Conduct and attend regular staff/practitioner meetings
- Support the Reception Manager through recruitment, induction, training and appraisals of non-clinical staff
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position you will have 3 years' experience working within a medical centre environment. You'll be naturally positive and optimistic in your outlook and enjoy contributing to a caring, values-driven business.
- Proven leadership and management experience
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to exceptional customer service and patient care
- Experienced in workforce recruitment, rostering, training & development
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and drive change
- Minimum of 4 years management or similar experience
- Previous management experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
