An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Practice Manager who is a Registered Nurse (RN) with previous clinical and managerial experience to lead and provide key clinical and operational leadership to the private hospital. You will be responsible for the review, implementation and maintenance of facility systems and processes to ensure compliance with quality assurance principles and accreditation standards.
The Centre for Digestive Diseases (CDD) is a private day procedure hospital and medical practice located in the Inner West of Sydney. The CDD has distinguished itself locally and internationally as a unique medical institution offering novel approaches in research, diagnostics and treatment of gastrointestinal conditions.
As the Practice Manager you will need to have had extensive clinical nursing experience and a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role. Your management experience and interpersonal skills will show your confidence and ability to manage change and influence culture whilst developing the team. You will be required to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders involved in accreditation quality improvement reviews.
The role is diverse and requires a candidate who is passionate and motivated to take ownership of the various tasks that arise while working as a member of the multi-disciplinary team of health professionals and support staff. The candidate must have strong customer orientation and demonstrate a high standard of personal integrity and respect, and be trustworthy and honest.
Business Operating hours: Monday – Friday from 6:30am to 6:00pm
Key Responsibilities
The key duties of this role include but are not limited to:
- Coordination of Accreditation Requirements
- Organization Systems and Productivity
- Customer service focus efforts
- Coordination and submission of QPS Benchmarking projects
- Responsible for HPPA (Health fund contracts) negotiations
- Records Management
- Manage client (e.g. Patients and VMOs) feedback
- Organization Systems and Productivity
- Operating Management. Business and Clinical Operations
- Risk Management
- Responsible with the coordination of internal, external regulatory and other audits throughout the Centre
- Maintaining all relevant legislative requirements and practice accreditation both ISO 9001 and NSQHSS
- Governance Operations
- Reporting to the Strategy Director and Medical Director, keeping them informed of business operations
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Practice Manager
- Degree qualification in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated experience in accreditation within a health environment.
- A high level of understanding of accreditation and evaluation principles and their practical application in a health or similar environment with experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of robust processes.
- You will have well developed communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience in maintaining effective working relationships with various stakeholders and customers.
- Demonstrated customer service focus and experience in a customer service environment.
- In depth knowledge and demonstrated experience in ISO9001 Accreditation, NSQHS Standards and Clinical Governance Operations.
- Familiarity and competency with Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook and Excel
- Understanding of HCP and PHDB data submission
- Demonstrated experience in a hospital setting with detailed knowledge of Medicare Item Codes and Health Funds
- Experience in the management of confidential information
- High level attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated problem solving/analysis and time management skills
- High level communication proficiency and teamwork orientation skills

A clear Police Check, Working with Children Check and complete vaccination records is mandatory.
