As Veterinary Dermatology Specialists continues to grow and evolve, we are looking for a full-time Practice Manager who is a hard-working, well organised, and highly motivated individual that welcomes new challenges. You will be focused on patient experience and have strong administrative, organisational and leadership skills.
About the role:
Key duty: Effectively manage the daily operations of Veterinary Dermatology Specialists in conjunction with the clinic Directors.
Your main responsibilities:
- Team communications & Human Resources management:
- Maintaining the practice ‘ethos’ by communicating plans to staff members, ensuring that standards are maintained whilst promoting a cooperative working environment
- Coordinating meetings
- Generating and ensuring compliance with rostering, timesheets, payroll, leave entitlements, recruitment, training and HR processes and procedures
- Supporting the team to attain their goals through individual development reviewing & feedback, structuring professional development training & performance management
- Recruitment and induction of new team members
- Client liaison:
- responsible for ensuring the practice maintains a client focus
- responsible for resolving any client issues which do not relate to clinical matters
- Financial management:
- monitoring client account, managing debt, negotiation of any purchases, getting the best deals on behalf of the practice and planning for any requisite audits.
- Inventory management: overseeing & settling supplier invoices/statements
- General business record-keeping, document composition and end-of-month reporting
- Marketing & Public relations:
- Marketing the business and promoting products and services
- Social media management and website maintenance
- Ensuring legislation compliance through implementation and development of Work Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Implement, manage and improve processes/procedures in the practice to make them as efficient as possible allowing staff to focus on our clients and patients
- Coordinating equipment & physical resources’ repair and maintenance
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in Veterinary Practice Management: the veterinary Practice Manager will be responsible for the operation of the practice as a business
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skill skills: ability to motivate employees and keep the clinic operating smoothly so that patient care continues to be of the highest quality
- A ‘can do’ attitude and pride themselves on their attention to detail
- Ability to be a clear and concise communicator and loves to build a great team
- A demonstrated proficiency for managing multiple stakeholders including: referring veterinarians, suppliers, pet-owners and animals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management & organisational skills
- Punctuality and reliability
- Agile problem solver
- Proficiency in IT: Full Microsoft suite, Ezyvet Veterinary Software
