Form of workThe King's College is a Kindergarten to Year 12 coeducational school with a current enrolment of 890 students, situated in Wellard in the southern corridor of the metropolitan area. The College is growing in size with a new Primary School opened at the beginning of 2024. This allows for further development on the secondary site. The College is a ministry of The King’s Chapel and has been offering quality education in the area for over 34 years.
The College’s vision is to provide a Christian education and train its students to “be exceptional”. Students need to believe they can improve and are not locked into certain levels of achievement. This requires a growth mindset from students that is supported by their teachers.
The King’s College is committed to ensuring child safety in every aspect of College life. The enrolment policy is one of inclusion and this is reflected in the numbers of students from culturally diverse backgrounds including Aboriginal children and those with a disability.

The successful applicant must:

- Be a committed Christian and able to demonstrate a personal relationship with God.
- Select from a flexible and effective repertoire of teaching strategies to suit the physical, social, and intellectual development and characteristics of students.
- Develop a culture of high expectations for all students by modelling and setting challenging learning goals.
- Demonstrate responsiveness in all communications with parents/carers about their children’s learning and wellbeing.
- Demonstrated willingness to contribute to the school spirit and community life of the College through extra-curricular activities and other community events.
- Focus on creating a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
- Promote the College in the community and surrounding districts.
