PRICING ADMINISTRATOR – FULL TIME
Job Description:
As the Pricing Administrator your primary focus will be to work alongside the current Support Office and Store Teams, to update and maintain each departments price files for 14 IGA Supermarkets, in line with business objectives, requirements and deadlines.
The role reports directly to the Merchandise Manager and supervised by one of our Senior Admin team members. The scope of the role requires the ability to navigate our pricing/stock management system (Worldsmart HQ / Smart Retail) andis underpinned by the need to have an exceptional work ethic, outstanding communication skills, while ensuring complete accuracy at every touch point.
You will also need to have good knowledge of the Microsoft based programs, particularly Excel that will assist deliver, in a Team environment data files and pricing updates across our 14 Supermarkets within the Carlo’s IGA Business.
This role also supports our Store, Management and Field teams with queries relating to products, pricing, and reporting, that will require a working understanding other internal systems, plus knowledge of the ordering process and communication protocols.
RESPONSIBILITIES will include:
- Prepare, download, and monitor group pricing files.
- Maintain and execute Host file from Metcash and ALM
- Implement product changes and pricing updates, this will include Grocery, Liquor and Fresh departments.
- Ensure all GP% are in line with business requirements/expectations. Consistently review GP% reports and action as required.
- Add new products lines, remove deleted lines, create new supplier information and manage each department and category files.
- Manage and maintain all Fresh department pricing, this will include regularly liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Constantly review direct to store pricing files and coordinating with suppliers to correct inaccurate data where required.
- Review and report on Liquor and Grocery scan promotions (MIP - Money into price) and issue claims information to our Retail support or accounts team.
- Producing sales reports to assist calculate suggested store order quantities and from time to time assist with the end-to-end store weekly ordering process (Enterprise Portal orders)
- Establish the groups pricing priorities and manage these accordingly.
- Manage all Store queries and requests in a timely manner.
- Manually file any documents, where hard copies are still required.
- Assist with any ad hoc requests from the team and back fill other Support office functions during leave periods.
- Be prepared to manage or assist with business projects that will come up from time to time that relate to the pricing department.
- Having worked with Worldsmart’s HQ/Smart Retail or GC/GM would be considered a BIG plus, but not essential.
Qualifications
- A background or previous role in Retail Pricing within an FMCG businesses.
- Previous knowledge or experience with a cloud or Windows based Pricing/Stock Management system would be a big advantage.
- You must have good analytical skills & a strong commercial acumen. The role involves working with numbers and calculating cost of goods and GP%.
- Outstanding communications skills, both verbal and written. You will be regularly dealing with internal and external parties.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft programs, particularly Excel.

The successful applicant will be based in our Support Office in North Parramatta, 5 days per week (40 hours). Once successfully through probation, consideration will be given to work from home 1 day per week.
